Keep Decorative Painting alive  . . .

At long last, my painting schedule is here.  I will be adding a few projects as we go along, but there is a basic schedule here for March through June.  There are some very nice and fun projects and some that would make nice gifts.

Most of you know that it has been announced there will be no more HOOT convention in Columbus after this year.  Now, the latest bombshell to be dropped is that there will also be NO National Painting Convention after this year.

Art and Painting are so important to us all.  It is a great stress reliever and I could list hundreds of other good reasons to keep art in your life.

With the 2 main conventions in this country gone, it is up to shop owners like me to keep the art alive.  Please help me by participating in our art classes as often as you can.  If we don't continue this art form, the sources for all the materials will dry up and we don't want that to happen.  I hope to see you soon in class.  Support your hobby!

Something's new

When you come into the shop the next time, you will see a few new things.  In 2019, we are entering our 32nd year of business.  REALLY!  It is true.  So, I decided to do a little remodeling.  We didn't knock out any walls or anything so drastic as that, but you will notice some new things, nevertheless.  Maybe I'll get so efficient that I'll quit losing things.  AH, Probably not!!!!

Something else is new

Since I am entering my 32nd year of business in 2019, I'm also making some changes in the behind the scenes mode of operation of the business.  I am going DIGITAL.  Most of you will not notice this change, but all my instructions and instructional packets will be saved digitally in the cloud instead of in my long bank of filing cabinets.  In the long run, it will save me some time.  But not at first.  I want to convert some of my old files to digital also and that will take a little extra time.  Worth it, though!  My web site sales will run much smoother.  And filing of physical files will eventually be completely phased out.

More News

This year I will be adding a WATERCOLOR CLUB class.  This will be held on the last Monday of the month.  We will be painting little mini watercolor paintings with various subject matter.  They will be doable in one sitting and will make use of various watercolor techniques so over the course of the year, we will do many different things.  This will be fun.  Time to learn something new, guys.  Come join us!  The first one in January is a very easy snow scene so it is very appropriate for a beginner.
